Swimming pool & grounds

Our swimming pool & grounds are communal for both gites. Feel free to wander around our gorgeous gardens, help yourself to the games provided and really enjoy and make the most of the outdoor space.

Bikes

Take in the beautiful Perigord Vert countryside and explore by bikes. The quiet lanes that surround us are ideal for a leisurely cycle in warm sunshine.

Wood fired hot tub

Disconnect to reconnect.

Step into your very own hot tub heaven and let the stress and strains of everyday life gently slip away under magical star filled skies. The perfect place to watch the sunset with a glass of wine.

(must be pre-booked as only 1 gite at any one time may use the hot tub)

Outdoor kitchen

As the sun sets, indulge in a moment of tranquility and enjoy alfresco living to the fullest. Savor a refreshing drink and a delicious meal while basking in the beauty of the sunset. Create your own little party and relish in the peaceful ambiance.

Swimming lakes

The area is blessed with several swimming lakes, making it a perfect spot for families or couples to enjoy nature at its best. Some lakes have food outlets and offer free canoeing and paddle boarding during peak summer months.

Brantome en Perigord

Known locally as the little Venice of Perigord, this charming little town is a hidden gem and a great place to explore. Dominated by the abbey and the 11th Century bell tower, which is one of the oldest in France it is easy to see why it's a tourist hotspot. Home to a Michelin star restaurant, a great Friday morning market, canoeing, paddle boarding and boat trips there really is something for everyone not forgetting the Friday night river jousting during July and August.

Perigueux

Discover the charming town of Perigueux, capital of the Dordogne known for its cobbled streets and boutique shops. Take a stroll through the historical center and visit the stunning cathedral and old toll house. After exploring, indulge in a delicious lunch at one of the many restaurants and don't forget to treat yourself to some mouth-watering chocolates from one of the chocolatiers.

Saint Jean de Cole

Listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France this delightful village makes a great place to stop for lunch. The beautiful chateau and timber framed buildings make the perfect backdrop.

The village comes alive during the second weekend in May with the annual flower festival drawing a large crowd.

Be sure to visit the little wine shop in the square for some free tasting!

Grotte de Villars

These spectacular caves which have been formed naturally will simply take your breathe away. They are the largest underground network of caves in the region and you can see some prehistoric paintings on their walls. This is a great activity for all the family and a good pairing with Saint Jean de Cole.

Bergerac

The beautiful old town of Bergerac winds down to the Dordogne river where you can enjoy a boat trip. Another charming town to explore and enjoy some lunch.

Home of course to many vineyards that are open to visitors and offer tasting opportunities too.

Bourdeilles

Nestled on the banks of the river Dronne this charming village with two chateaux, a 14 Century bridge and a mill is a great place to enjoy a pic nic and watch the canoes paddle by, or take some lunch at a restaurant. Walk up through the village and you will come to a panoramic viewpoint which looks down to the river below.

This makes a good pairing when visiting Brantome en Perigord.

French markets

The region is bursting with bustling markets full of local produce. There are some excellent markets for you to enjoy and we will be pleased to guide you to our favourite ones.

The region is famous for duck, Foie Gras, walnuts, honey, the black truffle, walnut oil, goats cheese, strawberries and not forgetting the wine.
